Go Back The Future Perfect

The Present Tense

Immaculate Object

December 25, 2015

Further evidence that good things do indeed come in small packages, The Future Perfect celebrate objects of modest proportions and outsized appeal in 'Immaculate Object.'

The show of pieces, each exclusively commissioned, includes works in glass, metal and ceramics. Drawing on new talent and longtime collaborators, the show's standouts include Eric Roinestad's collection of large and small vessels, each bearing his signature synthesis of California folk modernism with Scandinavian rigor. Acclaimed Scottish metalsmith David Taylor's contribution included new works such as a coffee table and clock made with aluminum and unexpected materials like discarded materials and rocks. Swedish glassblower Simon Klenell presented four captivating glass "Melt Vases" where he "reintroduced cut crystal into a molten state".
